What's New?

• Added encryption for SED drives on Artico (R630)systems for QXS 3-Series storage.

• In order to accommodate previously-installed systems converting to SED drives, now include the topics for connecting to the QXS Disk Management GUI for local downloaded procedures.

• Updated the Static IP and DHCP instructions for network settings used for launching the StorNext Connect Install App for the static IPv4 addresses to use for both macOS and Windows instructions, and fixed the related example images to match the static IP address changes.

• Added pointers back to the aiWARE for Xcellis Embedded (DAE) instructions for those installations.

• Created a new hardware install overview and checklist specifically to support Xcellis Foundation installs.

• Simplified the post-installation checklist and referenced procedures.

Added clarification around network switch requirements while using the StorNext Connect Install App and after using the app.

Simplified the two QXS chassis installation checklists, which used to be separated into a tools and pre-requirements checklist, and an overall QXS chassis installation, have been combined into a single checklist. Because of this change, the rail hardware list was also moved, and is now found in its own section of the rail installation page.

Updated the macOS installation instructions to make them more simple. This section now includes a generic overview for installers who are familiar with either the macOS or Windows method for setting the static IP address. This section also now includes the two network addresses supported for connecting to the system to use the StorNext Connect Install App with static IPs, along with an updated example for one version of the macOS.

• Added the Xcellis Foundation product to the list of products supported by these installation instructions to the home page.

• Updated the hardware overview and checklist, to include the entire end to end, high-level installation steps.
  

• Updated the System Configuration: StorNext Connect Install App checklist to begin by referencing the online version of the StorNext Connect Quickstart.

• Added sections for DHCP and Static IP address settings to the Configure Network settings topic, prior to using the StorNext Connect Install App.

• Updated the Available Training page image and title to reflect the updated Installation and Configuration course, which now supports Xcellis Foundation.

• Added aiWARE for Xcellis Embedded (DAE) to the list of products supported by these installation instructions to the home page.

• Updated the logical Port numbers and slots to support configurations where the 10 GbE optical NIC card is installed in slot 3 to support iSCSI connections to QXS 3-Series (Xcellis Workflow Director and Artico) and QXS 4-Series (Xcellis Workflow Director) systems. In those situations, if a Fibre Channel card is added, it must be installed in slot 2.
