Checklist: QXS Chassis Installation |
Complete the following steps to install the QXS chassis.

Verify that you have all system components expected for your order. See Hardware Installation Overview and Checklist. |

|
|
|
Install the QXS Chassis in the rack. |
|
|
Install drives in the chassis. See Install the QXS Drives. Note: DO NOT install hard drives for Xcellis Foundation systems, since they are pre-installed in the QXS-312 RAID chassis. Instead, verify the drives are fully-seated in the chassis. |
|
|
Install QXS small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceivers. See Install the QXS SFPs . Note: DO NOT install SFPs for Xcellis Foundation systems, since the system is shipped with Twinax cables. Twinax cables have SFP+ connections built-in on both ends. |

|
Connect SAS cables between the QXS RAID and expansion chassis. See Connect the QXS RAID Chassis to the Expansion Chassis. Note: For systems which don't initially ship with QXS expansion to attach to the QXS RAID chassis, skip this step and continue to Connect the Power Cables and Power on the QXS Chassis. |

Install QXS power cables to power on the chassis. See Connect the Power Cables and Power on the QXS Chassis. |

|
Install the QXS bezels if they are not already installed. See the QX and QXS Bezel Installation Guide at www.quantum.com/qxshybriddocs. |
