Install the QXS Chassis Rails

Depending on the type of QXS drive chassis that you are installing, use one of the following procedures. Prior to rack rail installation, review all prerequisites in Install the QXS Chassis.

Ensure you have the following before installing the QXS rails.

Type D #10-32 x 5/8 in., FH100, PLP2, SS PN: 01-00000265-00-01; or M5 x 10, FH, PLP2, SS PN: 01-00000266-00-01; or M6 x 10, FH, PLP2, SS PN: 01-00000268-00-01	2

Rails (rackmount bracket kits) come with the following nut types **:
Type F #10-32, UNF - Cage Nut PN: 01-00000148; or #10-32, UNF - Clip Nut PN: 01-00000270-00-01	10
* Hanger fasteners may be pre-installed on the rail’s front and rear mounting flanges. ** Fasteners provided vary by rail kit. Fastener types (alpha code) correlates to numeric PNs within the illustrated procedures. Use fasteners that pertain to your rack type.
