Checklist: Server Installation |
Complete the following steps to install the server
|
|
If you have not already, verify that you have system components expected for your order. See Verify Shipment. |
|
|
Install the expansion cards. See Overview: Install the Expansion Cards. For systems, only install cards in slot 1. Expansion cards are already pre-installed in Slots 2 and 3. |
|
|
Install memory, if needed. See Install the Server Memory. |
|
|
Install the top cover. See Install the Server Top Cover. |
|
|
Install the server rails and server node in the rack. See Install the Rails and the Server. |
|
|
Connect the server node power cables. See Connect the Server Power Cables. |
|
|
Power on the server. See Power On and Boot the System. |
|
|
Install the server bezel if not already installed. See Install the Server Bezel. |
|
|
Repeat all the steps above for the second server node (for dual-server [HA] systems only). For systems, this does not apply. |
