Upgrade Server Firmware
The Firmware Upgrade option in the StorNext GUI, allows you to perform a firmware upgrade on Quantum Appliances. Depending on the StorNext firmware upgrade version being applied, the firmware upgrade includes updates to the firmware/drivers for the appliance hardware (if applicable), the server OS (if applicable) and StorNext software.

Upgrade QXS Firmware
The QXS controller firmware is not upgraded during the firmware upgrade process. QXS firmware upgrades must be done separately, according to the firmware upgrade instructions documented in the QXS Release Notes. See www.quantum.com/qxshybriddocs.
