Network Commands

These commands are available for the Network feature.

Note: For a list of all the Appliance Controller commands, see the Command Index.

As with other commands, enter the base net command, and you will be shown all current net commands:

Example:

> net

Showing commands that start with 'net':

net nslookup <hostname | ipaddr>

net ping [<ping args> ...]

net show config [all]

net show hostname

net show routes

net show status

net tcpdump start [<tcpdump argument> ...]

net tcpdump stop

  1. Log in to the Appliance Controller CLI.
  2. Enter:
    3. > net nslookup <hostname | ipaddr>

The parameters are:

<hostname | ipaddr>

The host name or IP address to retrieve server, address, and name details from.

Output:

Server: 10.65.165.1
						Address: 10.65.167.1#55

						Name: int-x15.mdh.quantum.com
					Address: 10.65.165.127
  1. Log in to the Appliance Controller CLI.
  2. Enter:
> net ping [<ping args> ...]

The parameters are:

<ping args>

The host name or IP address to ping.

Example output:

PING 192.167.15.121 (192.167.15.121) 56(84) bytes of data.
						64 bytes from 192.167.15.121: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.049 ms

  1. Log in to the Appliance Controller CLI.
  2. At the prompt, enter:
> net show config
