About the Appliance Controller
The Appliance Controller is Quantum's interface for managing not only StorNext NAS, but also SNMP and iSCSI. This Documentation Center includes all content to assist you in performing NAS, SNMP, and iSCSI tasks from the controller console.
Using the StorNext Connect NAS App vs. Appliance Controller NAS Commands
You can use the new NAS App in StorNext Connect to configure supported NAS features, such as NAS share management and cluster creation. The NAS App provides a graphical user interface (GUI). The Appliance Controller provides many of the same functions, but accesses those functions from a command line interface (CLI).
