Controller CRU

Added instructions for:

  • Shutting down the system using QBSP 2.x software to the controller replacement procedure

  • Added instructions for determining system health using the QBSP 2.x UI.

  • Removed the "catastrophic"/M.2 and FC card replacement sections from the procedure, since those are not part of a typical controller CRU.
F2000 Documentation Center Download Updated to include the current content and Release Notes.

The doc center banner/top of page

  • Updated for the new visual doc center style

  • Instructions have been added for Search Tips

  • Every page of the doc center now has a Create PDF button

  • Each drop-down section now has a "close section" link at the bottom to collapse the drop-down section without requiring you to scroll back to the top of the section to close it.

  • Updated various links across the documentation center for external locations that have changed since the last revision update.

 Updated Doc Center instructions for the Fibre Channel HBA replacement to fix a text error and added a command to the shell script

BLK-5242
  • Added (if needed) to this section title, since this is not needed if the original M.2 boot drive is used on the replacement controller.
  • Added a note to only perform the configuration changes for replacement M.2 boot drives.
  • Clarified controller CRU replacement instructions to identify Controller A steps, and to add additional examples for what those steps look like for Controller B.

BLK-5242

  • Added (if needed) to this section title, since this step is only needed for existing cards.

  • Added a note to only perform the the FC config step for existing cards transferred from the failed controller, and not new cards.
  • Added instructions to add and zone the WWPNs on the new card to the FC switch, and added a link to next step if not needed.
  • Clarified controller CRU replacement instructions to identify Controller A steps, and to add additional examples for what those steps look like for Controller B.

  • Added a new sub-section to this CRU replacement for how to unfence a controller.

F2000 Installation & Configuration

Added information about which releases support 16 LUNs vs. 2 LUN configurations in the system overview section, and explain the differences in configuration steps between 16 LUN examples, and in screenshots throughout the Installation instructions.
