Data Volume Overview Graph
The Data Volume Overview graph displays information about the amount of data processed by the appliance. Use this graph to evaluate the overall health of the appliance, as well as to quickly identify whether your
Review the following variables of the Data Volume Overview graph. Keep in mind that not all variables are available in all systems.
Figure 1: Data Volume Overview Graph

Displays the first, last, and delta values for each variable displayed on the graph. In addition, it displays the first and last ratios for the Data Reduction value, which is the amount of data that was reduced on the appliance during the selected time range.

Displays the total amount of data ingested by the appliance.
Use this information to understand how much data the appliance is processing.

Displays the amount of ingested data remaining on the appliance after the data has been deduplicated and compressed.

Displays the amount of ingested data remaining on the appliance after the data has been deduplicated and redundant data has been identified, but before the ingested data is compressed.
Use this information to view the amount of deduplicated data stored on the appliance.

(DXi systems only)
Displays the amount of space that is being consumed by active data. The used disk space does not include space allocated to be reclaimed for new backup data.
Use this information to see the amount of used system capacity.

(DXi systems only)
Displays the total amount of allocated disk space. In addition, this variable includes disk space that is free to be reclaimed for storing new backup data.
The types of data for which disk space is allocated include the following:
- Deduplicated data
- Non-deduplicated data
- Expired data
- System metadata
Use this information to see the amount of allocated and free appliance capacity.

(DXi systems only)
Displays the overall capacity of the appliance.

A pink bar at the top of the graph indicates that space reclamation is in progress. Space reclamation is source intensive and can affect the rate at which the appliance deduplicates data or performs namespace replication.

The average transfer rate, represented by a thin horizontal black line, displays the average data transfer rate for the selected time range.
