Change the sysadmin Password

Appliance Controller is installed with a special administrator user account, sysadmin. You should change the password for the sysadmin user account before performing any administrative steps. (The default sysadmin account password is sysadmin).

To change the sysadmin password

  1. Log in to the Appliance Controller CLI.
  2. Enter the following (where sysadmin is the account that needs the new password):

    3. > auth change local password sysadmin

  3. Enter the new password.
  4. Enter the new password again for verification. You will see a confirmation indicating the password was changed:
