Network Throughput Gauge
The vmPRO appliance GUI has a Network Throughput gauge that displays on the vmPRO GUI Home page. It displays the live data transfer rate of the current backup session and refreshes every 15 seconds. Think of the Network Throughput gauge as a speedometer for the backup that is currently in progress. The speedometer will show both smartmotion and restore traffic.
Reduction Statistics
Reduction statistics are also available for Smart Read and input/output (I/O) reduction from the vmPRO Home page. These statistics show the savings on data using the SmartRead technology. This provides information similar to looking at the deduplication ratio on a DXi. The skipped data (yellow) is shown on the graph along with the read data (blue). The skipped data represents the data that did not need to be backed up again.
