Overview
The Scalar i500 i7 Engineering Knowledge Transfer, presented to the North America, EMEA, and APAC Service teams, provided information about new features and functionality introduced with the i7 product release. Carsten Prigge, the Technical Director of Tape Automation, discussed FIPS 140-2 Level 1 compliance and what it means to be FIPS-compliant; the Ethernet Expansion blade and its integration into the Scalar i500 library; Data Path Failover and its availability with SNW-licensed HP LTO-5 drives; SKM 2.0; and other enhancements to the i7 release.
