The vmPRO GUI is another method to interact with and configure the vmPRO appliance. This is the primary and the most fully featured method for customers to set up the appliance. This interface is available by opening a web browser and connecting to https://<vmPRO_ip_address>. Loading the GUI requires a recent version of flash player be installed.
The GUI provides a convenient method to set up and update vmPRO configuration as well as see vmPRO status. Upon initial connection to the GUI, the Config wizard is launched to guide user in setting up the appliance. Please see Quantum vmPRO User‘s Guide for more on Config Wizard. The GUI can be used to make changes to previous configuration options, start SmartMotion manually, or start a virtual machine recovery. All requests issued to the GUI get sent to the controller as commands.
