Overview

This topic provides a WTBDN dispatch example for a Lattus Storage Node Chassis FRU Replacement. This level of detail should always be provided in the WTBDNs. The audience for this particular example is a Third Party Mainatainer (TPM). The TPM will perform the onsite hardware steps, and the SPS Technical Support engineer will perform the software steps.

MTAYLOR / SPS / WTBD only - Replace Storage Node chassis described in actions below per instructions in Lattus Service Reference Guide. Any change in the WTBD must be approved by Quantum.

[ACTIONS] (1.) The product serial number for service is CD1321CKC00004. (2.) Private 1 virtual IP address is 10.10.1.225 (3.) Move the drives from the failed Storage Node 8 (storage8) in Lattus system to the new Storage Node Chassis. Use the instructions in the "Replacing the Hardware" procedure in the "Replacing the Lattus S20 Model 2 Storage Node Chassis" section of the Lattus Service Reference Guide. (3.) After completing step 19 to boot the Storage Node, contact MTaylor (720-555-1234) in Quantum Technical Support to perform the final software configuration steps. (4.) Return the failed Storage Node Chassis to Quantum using the return instructions that came with the replacement chassis. [END ACTIONS]
