1.       TSB and new snconnect will have the workaround, so not sure if this checklist needs to be updated,  but I noted the documentation  issues IMT had issues understanding and following because they were not clear enough.  There were couple other minor  mentions which I didn’t record in my notes but the main one he was stuck on are here but didn’t mention chris Grave’s fix because he did a manual fix on webex, session 2 I had previously provided and are in fileo1 share and qwiki;

 

 

2.  Instructions I had provided the customer  on how to proceed with  this Xcellis install;

- Xcellis w/ 900GB HDD option in QXS-424 arrays cannot use StorNext Connect Customer Install app

 

        The process is to obtain the Xcellis Installation Checklist (below) and work through

        the steps in that document.  The "Artico Installation Guide" is referenced because Artico

        and Xcellis share some install steps.

3.   First,  customer has issues following  6-68379-01_RevA_Xcellis_Installation_checklist_for_QXS-424_HDD_Metadata-only.pdf step 7  but the main issue with provisioning happened on step 10.1, I see there were new revisions of the document but the change has not been made.

 

Customer had issues Following 6-68379-01_RevA_Xcellis_Installation_checklist_for_QXS-424_HDD_Metadata-only.pdf step 7  Configure both QXS controller IPs,   refers to Xcellis_field_Service_Manual.pdf but can’t find section “Configure QXS Expansion with the Xcellis Service” mentioned in this step.

The correct reference section should be “Provision QXS Storage Arrays with the Xcellis Service Menu”
