OST Installation Checklist

OVERVIEW

 

This checklist includes the items that are typically necessary to properly troubleshoot OST related problems. This list does not include items that are already required by the respective escalation forms. 

 

Some items may be linked to instructions or more information.

 

CHECKLIST

 

 

  1. Backup software version
  2. OS type and version installed on backup server
  3. OST plugin version
  4. Tsunami logs with DEBUG enabled for ost. These logs should include a capture of the error or failure for which the SR was opened. This should include logs from both source and target if opdup is being used.
  5. Plugin logs with DEBUG enabled. These logs should include a capture of the error or failure for which the SR was opened.
  6. Job details from the backup server if failure or error occurs during backup job
  7. Backup logs with raised log levels
