This Quantum Application Note provides information and instructions for configuring StorNext and Milestone for optimal performance. Both Milestone and StorNext contain settings which can significantly impact storage performance. This guide defines key settings that can be modified and provides general configuration recommendations.
Version Information
Milestone versions supported: Milestone Xprotect 2014 and 2016.
StorNext appliances supported: Xcellis Workflow Director, Xcellis Workflow Extender, G-Series Gateway, M-Series Metadata Controller.
StorNext versions supported: 5.3.2.1 and later. Pre-5.3 versions may work, but have not been tested. Contact Quantum if support for a pre-5.3 version of StorNext is desired.
