The Error Code Lookup Tool (ECLT) is a standalone utility that provides error code definitions for most Quantum/HP/IBM tape drives. When a drive error code is identified within the drive log, access the ECLT tool, select the drive type, input the error code, and the ECLT displays definitions of the error along with the most likely cause and resolution.

In addition, the ECLT includes documentation on how to find the error codes for different drive types along with some instructional videos for common service procedures.

The ECLT can check for updates when connected to the Quantum network. You can also submit feedback on content, requests, and updates to error code descriptions.
