The Amplidata/HGST Knowledge Base is a troubleshooting resource that is maintained by Amplidata/HGST and available to Quantum Service. The resource is currently not available to our Service Partners. The Knowledge Base is also commonly referred to as the “Troubleshooting Guide” or "Troubleshooting Wiki." An example of the Knowledge Base Home Page is shown below.
The content is organized into several different sections, as described in the following table. Note that this structure may change in the future as the content is updated and expanded.
To access the Knowledge Base, you must use a generic Quantum username and password. Use the following procedure to log into the Knowledge Base.
Note: You cannot use your individual username and password to log into the Knowledge Base. However, you must use your individual Amplidata username and password to access the support portal to open support tickets.
This procedure describes how to search for information in the Knowledge Base.
Scenario: While testing AXR encryption in the lab to resolve an SR, you need to upload a certificate to enable TLS encryption. You need to create a certificate to use in your testing, but you are not sure how to create one. You remember the Amplidata Knowledge Base has search functionality and decide to search for articles on this process.
