Upgrade a StorNext Storage Manager Object Storage Configuration
If you have existing systems configured with Object Storage, upon upgrading to StorNext 5 release 5.1 (or later), you will notice the following changes to your configuration:

The Provider will be set to LATTUS. |
Controller Component |
The HTTP and HTTPS Protocol and ioport are no longer an attribute of the Controller. These attributes are now owned by the iopath component. During upgrade, these parameters are no longer set for the Controller Component. |
Iopath Component |
The HTTP|HTTPS Protocol, AXR|S3 Object Storage Service API, PATH|VHOST are attributes of the iopath. The

Namespace Component |
The namespace component now contains AXR or S3. During an upgrade, this parameter is set to AXR. |
DDM Device Component | The DDM device configuration are also changed to reflect the new iopath configuration. |

With Lattus 3.5.1, it is possible to convert AXR namespaces to S3 buckets and make them accessible via the S3 interface. StorNext provides the capability to convert the media type from AXR to S3.
