Tools > Storage Manager > Media Manifests
Beginning with StorNext 6.2, you can use the Media Manifests page to download, upload, transfer, and delete a manifest file, or multiple manifest files, that are generated after you export a media or a set of media using the following Media Actions:
To access the Media Manifests page, on the Tools menu, click Storage Manager, and then click Media Manifests. The Tools > Storage Manager > Media Manifests page appears.
When you export media, a manifest file (exportManifest.<mediaid>) is saved to the following directory on your system:
Note: When you import media using the media action, Import Media, you can specify and use a manifest file to facilitate a faster and more robust import process of the media and its contents into another Tertiary Manager system.

The unique identifier for the media. For example: E00043

The name and the directory location (path) of the manifest file. For example: /usr/adic/TSM/internal/manifests/exportManifest.E00043

The date when the manifest file was last modified. For example: 2018-07-23 15:13:06 CDT

Download |
Click to download the selected media manifest file. Note: The media manifest file is downloaded to the default download directory of your browser client. |
Upload |
Click to upload a media manifest file to your system. Note: Depending on your browser, there might be a 4GB size limitation. |
Transfer |
Click to transfer (copy) the selected media manifest file to a server (this includes transferring to an MDC). Note: This option requires you complete the information in the Transfer Media Manifest Options section. Note: There is no size limitation on the media manifest file. |
Delete | Click to delete the selected media manifest file(s) from this system. |
Refresh | Click to refresh the data on the media manifests table. |
Note: Manifest files must be less than 4GB in size to use this option.

Click Upload. The Upload Media Manifest dialog appears.
Note: You can only upload one media manifest at a time.
The Upload Media Manifest dialog displays the following information:

The Destination, which provides details about the directory location (path) where you want to upload the media manifest to. For example:
/usr/adic/TSM/internal/manifestsNote: You cannot modify the destination.
- The Status, which provides details about the percent completion of the upload process for your selected media manifest.
- The File, which provides details about the selected media manifest you are uploading to your system.

Click Choose File. The Open dialog appears, and you are prompted to select a media manifest to upload to the Destination on your system.
Note: To cancel the upload operation and return to the previous page, click Close.

Navigate to the location where your media manifest resides, click the media manifest (for example, exportManifest.E00043), and then click Open to begin the upload process. After your media manifest is successfully uploaded to your system, the Upload Media Manifest dialog disappears.
Note: The Status field is updated to reflect the percent completion of the upload process.
This option allows you to transfer (copy) a media manifest file using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) to any server, including an MDC. Note the following:
- You can only transfer one media manifest at a time.
- This option requires you complete the information in the Transfer Media Manifest Options section.
- There is no size limitation on the media manifest file.
- The media manifest transfer process is run as a background job. For additional information about jobs, see Reports > Jobs.

Click the Transfer Media Manifest Options heading to expand the Transfer Media Manifest Options section.
- Complete the following information:
- Server: Enter the identification for the server where you want to transfer a media manifest to; this might be a valid server name or an IP address.
- Port: Enter a port number for the server. The default port number is 22.
- User Name: Enter a user name for the server. The default user name is root.
- Password: Enter a password for the server.
- Destination: Enter a directory location (path) on the server where you want to transfer a media manifest to. The default destination is /usr/adic/TSM/internal/manifests/. It is your responsibility to manage and remove any files from this directory as needed.

In the Media ID column, click a media ID corresponding to the manifest file you want to transfer from your system.
- Click Transfer. The Media Manifest Transfer dialog appears, and you are prompted to verify that you want to transfer the selected manifest file from your system.

Click Yes to transfer the selected manifest file from your system, or click No to abort the task and return to the previous page. If you click Yes, the Media Manifest Transfer dialog appears, confirming that the transfer of the selected media manifest file has successfully initiated.
- Click OK.

In the Media ID column, click a media ID corresponding to the manifest file you want to remove from your system.
Note: To delete multiple manifest files, press the Ctrl key and click the check boxes corresponding to the manifest files you want to remove from your system.

Click Delete. The Media Manifest Delete dialog appears, and you are prompted to verify that you want to delete the selected manifest file(s) from your system.
Caution: This task permanently deletes the selected media manifest file(s). This cannot be undone.

Click Yes to delete the selected manifest file(s) from this system, or click No to abort the task and return to the previous page. If you click Yes, a dialog appears, confirming that the selected media manifest file(s) have been successfully deleted from your system.
- Click OK.
Click Refresh to manually update the media manifests table and display updated data.
Note: This option resets the information in the Transfer Media Manifest Options section to the default parameters.
