Tools > Replication/Deduplication > Replication Bandwidth
Replication Bandwidth enables you to enter parameters related to data replication bandwidth.
- On the Tools menu, click Replication/Deduplication, and then click Replication Bandwidth. The Tools > Replication > Bandwidth page appears.
-
Select Enable to enable your bandwidth parameter settings, and then enter the following fields:
Parameter Description vIP Address
Enter the virtual IP address for the NIC
vIP NetMask Bits
Enter the virtual netmask bits for the NIC.
StorNext uses a "NIC grouping address" for each NIC. The grouping address for each NIC is obtained by taking the first netmask bits value of the configured address. All IP addresses (including physical IPs and virtual IPs) for the same NIC must have the same grouping address, but a different NIC should have a different grouping address. That is, the grouping address for a NIC should be unique on a node.
If you do not have multiple IPs for the NICs used for multilink on a node (for example, you are not using HA, and there are no multiple IPs assigned), you do not need to have the grouping address. In this situation the netmask bits value should be 32 for IPV4, or 128 for IPV6.
Note: You can obtain the virtual IP address and virtual netmask information from your network administrator.
Caution: In an HA configuration, if you disable a vIP entry and then click Apply, the vIP entry will be permanently disabled and you cannot re-enable it.
- Click Apply to save your changes.
