Tools > Object Storage Buckets
The Object Storage Buckets option enables you to scan for, add, and delete an Object Storage bucket on the Object Storage itself.
Note: To configure an Object Storage bucket within the StorNext configuration, see Configure Object Storage and Cloud Destinations.

On the Tools menu, click Object Storage Buckets. The Tools > Object Storage Buckets page appears.

Enter the appropriate value into the following parameters:
Note: Parameters marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
Parameter Description Provider*
Click one of the following Object Storage providers:
- Quantum Lattus
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Google Cloud
- S3 Compatible
Media Type*
The Media Type option is only available when the Provider is Google Cloud.
Click one of the following media types:
- GOOGLES3
Private Key File* The Private Key File option is only available when the Provider is Google Cloud and the Media Type is GOOGLE.
- Click Choose File to upload a private key file which you can use to aid with scanning, adding, and removing Google buckets. Enter the path on the StorNext system of the private key file downloaded from the Google Cloud Storage service account that is associated with your bucket. This file is used to authenticate access to your bucket using OAuth 2.0 and must be in JSON format.
Username*
Enter the username of the Object Storage bucket.
Password*
Enter the password of the Object Storage bucket.
Object Access Protocol*
Select http or https as the protocol.
Host*
Enter the hostname of the Object Storage bucket.
Port
Enter a decimal integer to specify the port number of the Object Storage bucket.
Bucket Name
(Optional) Enter a name for the Object Storage bucket.

Click Scan. The Object Storage Buckets table displays all available Object Storage Buckets.

On the Tools menu, click Object Storage Buckets. The Tools >Object Storage Buckets page appears.

Click Add. The Object Storage Buckets table displays the newly added Object Storage bucket.
- On the Tools menu, click Object Storage Buckets. The Tools >Object Storage Buckets page appears.

Click Scan. The Object Storage Buckets table displays all available Object Storage Buckets.

Select an Object Storage bucket from the Object Storage Buckets table.

Click Delete. A confirmation dialog is displayed and prompts you to confirm if you want to delete the Object Storage bucket.

Click Yes to delete the Object Storage bucket, or click No to abort the operation. The Object Storage Buckets table displays all available Object Storage Buckets upon deletion.
