Features and Benefits
The DXi T10 system provides the following features and benefits:
- New, inline data flow provides leading deduplication with an optimal combination of total system performance, manageability, and value.
- Presentations include VTL (Fibre Channel), NAS (CIFS and NFS), Veritas OpenStorage (OST), Oracle® Recovery Manager (RMAN), and AccentFS.
- 10 source to one target LAN/WAN replication compatible with the DXi T10. If Increased Stream Counts (ISC) is active, 30:1 replication is achievable.
- OST Optimized Duplication, Automatic Image Replication (AIR), Accelerator, and Targeted AIR support with Veritas NetBackup™, or Veritas Backup Exec™.
- Path to tape (PTT) capability that writes data from virtual cartridges directly to a tape library to create removable media for long term retention. It is supported by:
- Veritas™ NetBackup™ (under VTL and OST implementations)
- Veritas Backup Exec
- Oracle® Secure Backup
- Atempo Time Navigator™
Note: When the path to tape feature is enabled and configured, backup data can be moved directly from the DXi T10 system to a tape library.
- OST direct path to tape support with Veritas NetBackup™.
