LED indicators and buttons are located on the back of the Array modules (RBODs).

Note: This image shows a quad-port SAS HIC (Host Interface Card). New Array Modules (RBODs) will arrive with a dual-port SAS HIC.

Item Button/LEDs Description
1 Ethernet link rate (green) Solid - port speed 1000MB/sec. established.
2 Ethernet activity (green) Solid - link established. Blinking - indicates port activity.
3 Serial port (RJ45) Not used.
4 Mini USB Not used.
5 USB Not used.
6 Drive expansion port fault (amber) Both Off - cable unplugged. Fault Off and Activity On - all links operating.

Fault On and Activity Off - at least one link active and at least one link fault.

7 Drive expansion activity (green) Both Off - cable unplugged. Fault Off and Activity On - all links operating.

Fault On and Activity Off - at least one link active and at least one link fault.

8 SAS host/expansion fault (amber)

Both Off - cable unplugged. Fault Off and Activity On - all links operating.

Fault On and Activity Off - at least one link active and at least one link fault.

9 SAS host/expansion activity (green)

Both Off - cable unplugged. Fault Off and Activity On - all links operating.

Fault On and Activity Off - at least one link active and at least one link fault.

10 Seven segment display (green) Displays tray ID and error code. (Displays 99 when the Array module is operating normally.)
11 Activity

Blinking Green - The controller is active.

12 Attention Amber - The controller requires service.

Off - The controller is operating normally.

13 Locate

Blue - There is an active request to physically locate the controller.

Off -  There is no active request to locate the controller.

14 Cache Active

Green - The cache contains data not yet written to disk.

Off - Either the cache is inactive or all data from the cache has been written to disk.
