DXi5500: How can I find the Product Serial Number?

There are two distinct ways to find the product serial number for a DXi5500:

You can access the product serial number for a DXi5500 through the DXi5500Web pages. This procedure describes how you can find this information.

1. On the host computer, open the Internet browser software.

2. In the Address field, type http://IPaddress/ where IPaddress is the IP address for the system.

NOTE: The default IP address is 10.1.1.1 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0 for port 1, and 10.0.1.0 with a netmask of 255.255.0.0 for port 2.

The Log In page displays:

3. Click either Monitor or Administrator and specify the password (which is password by default).

4. Click Login. The Home page displays the graphical overview by default.

From the System Details frame (second pane from the left on the screen), check the Systems SN field to find the serial number (IX0649AKB12345).

Physical Location

NOTE: It is best to use the serial number from the Remote Identification. If there has been a chassis swap, the number on the physical tag will be a new number, but Quantum records and contract authorization are based on the original number, which will be provided by the GUI.

The product serial number is located on the right side of the system, towards the rear.
