System Has a Continuous Beep
Problem
Note: Use this troubleshooting process when the system is installed within the vehicle or installed within the data center.
- System has a continuous audio beep.
- You can hear the audio beep go on for a second and off for a second
- The beep does not shut off.
- You can hear the beep at the front or back of the system.
- You can review the "System Logs"; however, there may not be any entry identifying this malfunction.
Resolution
The beeping is coming from the RAID controller card. The card is malfunctioning . You must replace the chassis to fix this problem.
Note: No parts within the chassis can be replaced in the field.
You must power down the system, remove the drive magazine, and replace the defective chassis with the malfunctioning RAID controller card.
