OMV - GUI Overview
The OMV/GUI is an out-of-the-box NAS solution that everyone can install and administer without needing expert level knowledge of networking and storage systems.
- The system is built on a modular design and can be easily extended with plugins available right after installation of the base system.

Refer to the following OMV/GUI screen that appears after you login to this interface.
The OMV/GUI allows you to view the following information:
- System
- Storage
- Access Rights Management
- Services
- Diagnostics
During CRU replacement, the OMV/GUI can be used for the following:
- Remotely powering down the R3000 system
- Checking the functionality of replaced parts/CRUs (customer replaceable units)
If you use a laptop/computer to open the OMV/GUI, you need to do the following:
- Reconfigure your laptop/computer's Ethernet port to an address compatible with the customer's network.
- Use an RJ-45 Ethernet cable to connect your laptop/computer to the R3000 GUI port (back of chassis).
- Open the OMV/GUI in a browser by entering the R3000's IP address in the address window.
The defaults for the OMV/GUI is as follows:
- IP Address: 10.0.0.1
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Login: admin
- Password: password
Note: The customer probably has changed all of the defaults after installation of the system. So, you will need to acquire the changed values before you can access the OMV/GUI on your laptop/computer.
