There are two distinct ways to find the product serial number for GoVault:

Physical Location

The serial number is located on the top of the drive, on the back right corner.

Remote Identification

Decoding Quantum LTO drive serial numbers

The following information decodes Quantum LTO drive serial numbers for LTO generations 2-5.

LTO-2 Full Height = HX followed by 5 alphanumeric characters.  Examples:   HX10228, HX1037N, HX1043L, HX100PL, HX100ZJ

LTO-3 Full Height = JD followed by 5 alphanumeric characters.  Examples:  JD00D4P, JD00MHG,  JD00882

LTO-2 HH (Half Height) = JK followed by 5 alphanumeric characters.  Examples:  JK0404Z, JK101B8, JK102M3,  JK10DJ1, 

LTO-3 HH (Half Height) = JNYYWWAMEXXXXX

Where can I find the serial number for a Certance CP3100 drive?

Physcial Location

The serial number of a Certance CP3100 drive is located on a label affixed to the unit. This label's location depends on the model of CP3100 (i.e., external, internal, rackmount).

NOTE NOTE: The serial number format differs depending on when the drive was purchased and whether it's an external (tabletop) or internal/rackmount drive. The serial number can be 7-12 characters.
