What do I do if Online Service Requests (OSR) will not accept my serial number?

If Online Service Requests (OSRs) will not accept a serial number, you can open the SR by phone, or check for common problems that occur with online OSRs.

Checking for Common Problems with Online OSRs If an OSR is not being accepted, check the following:

  • If you have not registered your product and have not previously opened a service request, it will not be available for an OSR submission. You can register your product at Product Registration.  
  • Make sure you are entering the correct serial number.  
  • If your product is registered and you still cannot submit an OSR, your product is likely in a different account number than your Online Services registration. In this case, e-mail the serial number that does not work, and a serial number that does work (you can get this from the View Service Requests page) to osr@quantum.com. Quantum's Service Information team will work with you to determine the best method to manage your multiple accounts.
