App Environment

The App Environment page allows you enable and disable DAE or Veeam on the DXi6900.

To access the App Environment page, on the System page, click the App Environment tab.

Dynamic Application Environment (DAE)

DAE, technically known as a Hypervisor, provides a virtual machine environment in which you can install additional operating systems for running third-party applications you provide on your supported system. Once licensed and configured, the DAE feature on the DXi6900 allows applications installed in the VM to run in a completely independent environment, and can also access DXi system resources and shares.

Contact Quantum Service to have DAE installed and configured on your DXi system.

Veeam ®

The Veeam feature on DXi6900 allows the system to perform backup and replication with Veeam software on VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environments.

Contact Quantum Service to have Veeam installed and configured on your DXi system.

In order to enable DAE or Veeam, a license key is required (see Figure 1). If you need to install your license key, refer to License Keys

Once the DAE or Veeam license keys are installed, the enable/disable function will appear (see Figure 2).
