Enable NAS Clusters

The first step in creating a NAS cluster is to enable the nodes that will be part of the cluster. Enabling a node makes the node a member of the NAS cluster, but it cannot actively take client connections.

To enable a NAS cluster, you will need to do the following:

  • Enable a master node for the NAS cluster.
  • Enable additional nodes for the NAS cluster.

Configuration Requirements

Make sure that you meet the following requirements when configuring clusters for StorNext NAS.

What's Next?

After enabling the NAS cluster nodes, set the VIP or VIP pool for the NAS cluster. See Set the VIP for a NAS Cluster .
