The QXS DMU/GUI

The following applies to Xcellis Workflow Director, Xcellis Foundation, aiWARE for Xcellis Embedded (DAE), and Artico (R630) systems.

The QXS Disk Storage Management Utility (or DMU) is the user interface to directly manage QXS storage hardware. Use one of the following options to access the QXS DMU:

QXS access over a network connection

If your QXS Chassis controller I/O module is accessible on your network, follow the procedure below to access the QXS DMU (Disk Storage Management Utility)/GUI.

  1. Open a web browser using the IP assigned to the correct controller on your network. (Use IP http://10.0.0.2 [Controller A] or http://10.0.0.3 [controller B] for direct connections to the storage array.)
  2. Log in to the QXS Disk Storage Management Utility (DMU) using the username and password assigned for a configured user with "manage" role access to the QXS array.

  3. Note: For new QXS systems running QXS G280 and later, there is no default username or password on the storage array, so you will have to create a new username and password. Follow the prompts to do so. The user you create will be assigned the "manage" and "monitor" roles on the QXS array. For QXS arrays running releases earlier than QXS G280, the default values are manage and password: !manage.)

QXS access for a direct connection

If you will be accessing the DMU with a direct connection to the network port on one of the QXS RAID Chassis controller I/O modules, and have not already set your laptop for the network running on the port, see first, and then use the procedure below to access the QXS DMU/GUI.

Configure the network settings on a laptop before accessing the QXS controller directly through the Network/Management Port on the back of the RAID Chassis.

Note: If you can access the QXS Disk Storage Management Utility or command line via an SSH connection over the network in your environment, you do not have to connect directly to the QXS or use this procedure. In this case, skip this procedure and use the IP address assigned to your controller.
