Default MIBs

When you enable the Main SNMP services, default Management Information Base (MIB) files are automatically included in your SNMP configuration. The following sections list each of these default MIBs and their corresponding object identifiers (OIDs). All supported MIB files are located in the /usr/share/snmp/mibs directory of your StorNext appliance.

What are MIBs and OIDs?

MIBs are a hierarchical database of OIDs, which form a data tree. Starting at the root, each OID travels along earlier nodes to its final node, which provides its value.

Example

In the following table, the snaAdDomIndex, snaAdDomName, and snaAdDomClusters OIDs are next generations of the snaAdDomEntry OID.
